Meet Centreville Dentist Dr. Abel
Dr. Jason Abel is a native of Northern Virginia, having grown up in Vienna. He received a BA in Economics from the University of Virginia in 1999. After completing post-graduate studies at George Mason University, he earned his DDS degree from the VCU/MCV School of Dentistry in Richmond. Following dental school Dr. Abel entered private practice, first in Charlottesville, and then in Gainesville, VA. Dr. Abel has taken extensive continuing education in order to stay current and informed in the latest procedures and techniques in dentistry. He is a “Preferred Provider” of Invisalign invisible braces, and enjoys the opportunity to provide a wide range of dental treatment for his patients, including root canals, extractions, dentures, and restorative dentistry.
Dr. Abel is also a graduate of the prestigious Misch Implant Institute and is a Fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). He is a member of several other professional organizations, including the American Dental Association (ADA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), Virginia Dental Association (VDA), and the Northern Virginia Dental Society (NVDS).

Dr. Abel gives back to the community
Dr. Abel also feels fortunate to be in a position to give back to the community by participating in outreach programs such as ‘Give Kids a Smile’ and the ‘Mission of Mercy’ (MOM) projects, which focus on providing dental care to the underserved patient population across Northern Virginia. He has also volunteered with Gainesville/Haymarket Rotary Club’s ‘Children’s Wellness Festival’, an event that allows underprivileged children to receive medical and dental screenings. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Abel enjoys playing baseball, Crossfit, snowboarding, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
